I've always tried to reinvent the craft without it affecting the quality- even the consistency of what I've found to be my sound. It's a major challenge because at this point I've developed habits and tendencies that may or may not have become redundant. For instance, when I spell my name out in a song, I try to make each delivery unique with each record and still maintain likeness/familiarity. That way I don't sacrifice consistency, while being open to more possibilities. That's just the tip of the berg, but you get what I mean.. I hope. It's gotten harder and harder with each song, but somehow I'm able to provide something for someone out there. Whether these songs speak to you or not, there's always one person that connects with it. THAT connection in and of itself is the reward I aim for with EVERY release. The numbers don't really mean anything to me now, but if I can inspire, uplift or even change the life of one person out there, every minute of every hour I've spent on the song suddenly counts for something, even if it doesn't count monetarily.

Let's not get it twisted, though. As I've mentioned many times before, I want it all when it comes to the money haha.. However, I recognize that my influence carries weight as well. Which brings me to my latest record, "UP-N-GO". As I do with every song, I'm really hoping this goes the distance on all monetary fronts, but I also wanna see it resonate with YOU, the listener. What does this song do for you? Is this a song that you would listen to once and never again? Is it one that you'll only listen to when no one else is around? Subconsciously, these are questions I have throughout the process of creating each song. Unsure of how these thoughts affect the music, but I figure it's a good way to stay in touch with you listeners want, I guess. Let me know if I'm right or wrong haha..

Anyway, I'm ending the year on a soft but good note at that. Just another love song that transforms into a rant haha.. You'll get what I mean by that after listening. -OH and you may be able to tell that I sound a bit under the weather. Caught the 'Rona and recorded this thang through it all, among some others. It's gonna take more than a weak a** pandemic to break my stride hahaha.. Been a rough year, but I'm grateful to be alive. Onto '21 with a bit more gusto. BLESS, BLESS, PEOPLE!
